Dog sled assisted East-West Crossing of the Greenland Icecap

Our dog sled assisted expedition is identical in detail to our ski and pulk hauling crossing, except that the expedition will fly by helicopter to the start point at Isortoq village. From here the group will ski up the approach glacier on to the icecap, accompanied by the dog teams who will meet us at Isortoq. The crossing is still fundamentally a ski crossing but with the dog teams hauling the food, fuel and equipment so that the team can ski with lightweight day packs. Occasionally it may be possible for clients to ride on the sleds on a rota basis but this will be nearer to the end of the expedition when the loads being hauled by the dog teams are greatly reduced.

For further information on this expedition please go to our East-West Crossing page
