Snorri's Guesthouse, Reykjavik

Our preferred choice for Reykjavik accommodation is Snorri’s guesthouse, ideally situated on the road Snorrabraut, just a short walk from Reykjavik’s main shopping street of “Laugavegur” and containing an exciting range of bars, restaurants night clubs and shops ... close enough to be convenient but  far enough away to benefit from quite evenings and a good night’s sleep. Having evaluated all Reykjavik’s guesthouses and hotels we consistently remain of the opinion that Snorri’s offers the perfect combination of well equipped, clean and smart rooms at the most cost effective price. People are consistently happy with the friendly and extremely helpful service on offer from Magnus and his family. A variety of single, double, twin and family rooms are available and all rates include a good buffet breakfast. En suites are also available. There is a fully equipped kitchen available for those who wish to prepare their own lunch or evening meals. Self catering apartments for 4 or 6 people are also available in their neighbouring guesthouse. From Snorri’s everything of greatest interest in Reykjavik is within walking distance. For transfer flights to Akureyri and Isafjordur in north Iceland, and to Kulusuk and Constable Point in northeast Greenland, Reykjavik domestic terminal is just a 5 minute taxi ride away. Magnus and his family can advise on and book all tours available in Reykjavik and arrange for car rentals to be delivered and collected from the guesthouse. Many flights to Iceland arrive early morning from the States and late evening from Europe but Magus and his family are extremely accommodating and welcome arrivals at any time. The guesthouse also benefits from a lovely, well stocked and colourful garden between the months of May and August, where outside seating is provided.
